Dorco Stainless Double Edge Razor Blade Review

Dorco Double Edge Razor Blade Review

I lasted 3 shaves with the Wilkinson Sword DE razor blade before I needed change…figured to try the ultra-economy Dorco blade.  Now, Dorco double edge razor blades are made in China, right?
I was surprised that when I opened the wrapper, there was another wrapper that said, “Made in Korea” on it.  Hmmm…is manufacturing in China now more expensive than manufacturing in Korea?  Is it South Korea, or North Korea?

Double Edge Razor Blade Review – Dorco Stainless DE razor blade

0)   Initial impressions –

Kind of rough feeling, but seemed a little nicer than the Wilkinson Sword.

1) User Interface – what does the shave feel like during the shave

It’s not a smooth shaver, nor is it tremendously sharp.

2)   Quality of Service – how good of a shave did I get

Two passes and only a so-so shave…not impressed so far.

3)   Hack factor – did it seem to make me nick myself, or was it smooth sailing?

I’m not sure if I can cut myself with this blade…might not be sharp enough!
Update – on day 2, I did manage to cut myself…pushing too hard trying to get a better shave and nicked myself below my lip.

4)   Useful service life – how many shaves did I get out of the blade?

3 was all I could stand…next up…
