Gillette 7 O’Clock SharpEdge Razor Blade Review

Gillette 7 O’Clock SharpEdge Double Edge Razor Blade Review

Thrilled to dump the Nacet Platinum razor blade in the blade safe, I went back to the Gillette family of blades, and gave the 7 O’Clock SharpEdge razor blade a try.
It was a great improvement from the Nacet blade.  Vastly sharper than the Nacet, and also substantially smoother.

Double Edge Razor Blade Review – Gilette 7 O’Clock SharpEdge

0)   Initial impressions –

The Gillette 7 O’Clock SharpEdge is much sharper than the Nacet…not as sharp as a Feather or a Shark, but pretty sharp.  It was also a pretty smooth shaver, and gave me a pretty decent shave after just a single pass.

1) User Interface – what does the shave feel like during the shave

The Gillette SharpEdge was a huge improvement over the Nacet.  Sharp.  Smooth.  Good shave.  I like it a LOT better.

2)   Quality of Service – how good of a shave did I get

The Gillette SharpEdge gave me a pretty good shave with just one pass.  I added a quick XTG pass on the cheeks and I was good to go.  Didn’t need a BBS, so 1 and a half passes was good enough for today!

3)   Hack factor – did it seem to make me nick myself, or was it smooth sailing?

No blood, in spite of how much sharper this was than the Nacet!

4)   Useful service life – how many shaves did I get out of the blade?

I got 5 good shaves out of the Gillette 7 O’Clock Sharp Edge razor blade.

Time to move on…since I was pleased with this blade, I thought I’d stay in the Gillette 7 O’Clock family…
